ArcDiff is a tool to compare archive files on its contents basis. Compares different type of archive, for example between ZIP and LHA. ArcDiff does not compare on the outward appearance of archives but the substance. Currently supports ZIP,LZH,CAB and RAR archive types. Can compare two archives each other, archives to disk folders, and two disk folders each other. Can print and export the result of comparison.
When you want to compare each content of two archives, need to melt them first and to remove the temporary later. You may forget to remove or remove wrong files by mistake. With ArcDiff, you can be free from such troublesome operations.
ArcDiff is also effective for comparing disk folders, because of its very efficient memory usage and estimated speed (takes linear elapse according to quantity of target files). Accepts drag and drop to specify the folders to compare.
For Windows Me,98,95 and Windows 2000, NT4.0.
