BitmapEx is a shareware program that allows you to "skin" your toolbar with any Bitmap, JPEG, or GIF images. You can use any on your system, download some from BitmapExchange, or even create your own! It features a great image preview, which shows you how your image will look when applied, up to 14 "favorites" for easy switching between your favorite images, options to add "Use as BitmapEx skin" to the right-click menus of images, and many more great features! You can always easily remove your image and restore your original image if you prefer, and of course BitmapEx comes with an uninstaller.
Goal of BitmapEx:When I made BitmapEx, I made it for people who don't like programs such as hotbar which is not only spyware, but which starts up when your computer starts up and slows everything down. Within windows itself it is possible to use a background image in the toolbar, but it is very complicated and can only use Bitmap files. When you run BitmapEx it makes the changes necessary and exits. Unfortunately Windows doesn't have a way to stretch your image etc. And that's why you can't do things like that. Works with Windows 9x/ME/NT/XP
When you download the BitmapEx trial, you can launch it ten times and then you must purchase the full version to continue using it. The trial has all the features of the full version. If you wish, you can skip downloading the trial and immediately order the full version.
