Keep favorite folders at your fingertips with Direct Folders .Waste lot of time while opening and saving files? Direct Folders greatly speeding up this process by enhancing the Open and Save dialog boxes, as well as Explorer with two little buttons.
What do these buttons do?
The button with a clock on it displays menu with recently accessed folders through the File Open, File Save and Browse For Folder dialog boxes. Extremely useful when you saved file in one application and going to open it in another. This menu can be activated by pressing Ctrl+T hot key.
The second button pulls down menu with your favorite folders. You can also insert separators and organize it in the sub-menus. This menu can be activated by pressing Ctrl+G hot key. Selecting any item from this menu makes dialog box immediately display folder you want to be in.
Direct Folders lets you add your favorite folders in this list "on the fly". For example, to quickly add folder 'My Documents', you should browse to this folder and select Add "My Documents" from the popup menu. If you no longer need this folder, just select Remove "My Documents".
Direct Folders Info Panel shows you:
? Full path to current folder in the filebox, left click in this area will open current folder in Explorer.
? Total occupied space and number of file in the current folder.
? Free space on the hard drives - left click will open root of the selected drive in the filebox.
In some cases you may need to display all the files in current folder or vice versa, files with certain type. Take a look at the Filters sub-menu that consists of few predefined filters such as Text Documents (*.txt;*.doc;*.rtf), Images (*.jpg;*.gif;*.bmp) and so on.
All items and its order in the list can be edited via Configuration Panel using drag'n'drop.
Direct Folders has an option to diplay icon in the tray menu to open your favorite and recent folders in the Windows Explorer, Windows Commander or any other file manager in just two mouse clicks
