Eserv is an enterprise mail, news, and proxy server for HTTP, FTP, and SOCKS 5. It also acts as a regular server for SMTP, POP3, and NNTP. It maintains Internet-accepted standards and helps to organize mail and news exchanges over a LAN. It can send and receive external mail over the Internet.
Eserv features include SOCKS 4 protocol support, SMTP and SOCKS 5 authorization support, wildcard support in the URL black list, a CheckOutNews rule in the scheduler, NNTP IHAVE command support, added IP-authorization, and separate access control for all servers.
Eserv is a "Free to try" program. You can download and try it for an evaluation period.
