LocalWEB2000 Professional Edition has all the power and features of LocalWEB2000 Standard, plus more! Built into Professional is a Telnet server (knows as Remote Admin Server, or RAS for short) which allows you to remotely configure all the important features of the server. As long as you have a Telnet client and you are connected to the same network as the server (or the internet!) you can connect to RAS and configure the server.
These are the features you can configure with RAS:
IP Access to the website served by LocalWEB2000
IP Access to deny or allow the ability to run CGI Scripts
Enable or Disable CGI on the server
Enable or Disable Perl Scripting Support
Flush the server access logs
View fault tolerance settings
View all standard server settings
View Virtual Directories
View IP's denied access to the web site
View IP's denied access to CGI scripting
For additional security, only one connection is allowed to the RAS at any time. You can configure a message of the day that is displayed when a user logs into the RAS they can view any new messages. These could be something from a simple welcome message through to a message regarding the configuration of the server.
All requests to access the server are saved in LocalWEB2000's on screen log so you can see who has logged on, when.
