NScan is an very fast and flexible portscanner for Windows, which is specially designed for scanning large networks and gathering related network/host information. In fact, it's not only portscanner, but a kit for testing network security and reliability, that can solve numerous problems on your network.
NScan has a set of utilities, which can be used separately or by scanner itself. Utility set currently contains fast parallel traceroute, that traces all the way to the host at once in one or two seconds, making route discovery tenth times faster, whois, that supports automatic information recognition and fetch, has query history and other useful custom features and, finally, TCP-based DNS client that supports most of the available options, including AXFR zone transfer. Portscanner engine also supports command-line options which enforce scanner to run automatically, allowing to run it remotely or as batch job. All set is a powerful aid for system administrators, online 'investigators' and other people who avoid being hacked.
