Security codes and passwords really shouldn't be carried around on your hand-held computer. But if you're going to put all your eggs in one basket, then you need a good egg basket! paEggBasket utilizes the Secure Hashing Algorithm (SHA-1), providing a secure 160 bit key. Two layers of encryption (file level and item/data level), doubly protects your data. The program never completely decodes the file, meaning that even resetting your eBookMan (or otherwise interrupting the program) doesn't reveal all your data.
Security is governed by the SHA-1 result combined with your password, as well as the eBookMan's internal ID. Together, the result is a file that cannot be viewed on other ebms, or any other computer environment. paEggBasket organizes data like a file cabinet - drawers, or Groups, contain files, or Items, and each file has personal Data. Groups can contain one or more Items, while each Item consists of a description and the data. Tap on any Group entry to display its contents below, and then tap on any Item to decode the data associated with it. Simply type away to edit the Data text - saving is automatic. Note that only a copy of the data is decoded, and then only temporarily. Straightforward editing commands allow you to add, delete or rename both Items and Groups.
