Willys Overland developed this car and produced it by the order of USA army. Its concept became traditional for American Jeeps, and also for the majority of off-highway cars in the world. The car had a rigid rail frame, a drive gear on all wheels, a depended suspension leaf, and a spare wheel on a back wall of the body. It also had the tires with facility grousers for driving on sand, snow and wet ground which are typical for off-highway cars. The drive gear of the forward wheels could be disconnected, and there was a speed-reduction gearing in the transfer gear case. Besides, it had a short base of wheels and a high clearance. The experience of its operation on difficult roads during the Second World War confirmed the infallibility of the accepted design decisions. 3D Models characteristics:
