Description of Zilab Remote Console Server program from Softdepia.com:
Multi-user Server. Zilab Remote Console Server is a remote console server, especially designed to run in Windows NT/2000 LAN environment. It allows you execute any console-based applications on the remote Windows NT/2000 host and supports multiple independent users sessions simultaneously. After the start, every session on the remote host receives its own clipboard and all the required environment including user's environment variables and user's registry subkeys. Due to the fact that this product is based on the strong Windows NT/2000 security model, each user works in its own security context.
Advanced Remote Computing
Server and client software, included into the distribution set, is especially tuned for receiving fast response. Remote users work without any appreciable delay.
In order to support long-term server-side operations and cover unreliable communications, Zilab Remote Console Server has an unique process rebinding functionality. A user may assign the maximum lifetime for a remote session, in which this software will be active and available for reconnection after user - initiated disconnection or a network fail. That allows to connect to remote processes, recently started on the host, using Zilab Remote Console Server. Each server user may have several pending (awaiting for reconnection) sessions.
Two Operational Modes
If TCP/IP is not allowed in your network, Zilab Remote Console Server may run on any Microsoft Windows Network enabled system using pipes connections. No addresses or port numbers are required to establish communication in this case. The only thing you have to know is the host computer network name. No additional network information is needed.
Full Console Behavior Coverage
Zilab Remote Console Server handles all specific console applications behavior such as colors, special keys, console size tracking, and even mouse movements, without special configuration efforts.
Zilab Remote Console Server is a "Free to try" program. You can download and try it for an evaluation period.
